I miss Melanie during the winter, when she is living in Austin. However, she has been keeping very busy. Teaching cooking classes, making things for our bakery, marketing, designing and creating her own blog!
It is great, so if you miss hearing from Melanie during the winter, you can check out her blog at melscuisineadventures.blogspot.com.
She is even going to be on television tomorrow, and I will post it once we get the lead to watch it on the internet.
As much as I miss her, I have not been sitting idle. We had a fun and delicious cooking class this weekend, and the focus was on Italian foods. The meal began with an eggplant tomato caprese, leading into a white bean tuscan soup, pesto chicken and finished with a chocolate panini. Yummy! In March I will be holding a Greek evening as well as a Thai class. Our annual raw chocolate class is this Sunday and a super lot of fun, primarily because it takes all the guilt out of eating chocolate.
On a purely business note, our deli space in the basement by the river is available for meetings, parties and events. A fiftieth birthday was hosted there two weeks ago with a five piece jazz band and it was fabulous!
